The NxtBarr kick-off meeting took place in Trondheim 28 and 29 March. Thank you to all the participants for interesting presentations and exciting discussions. The project is led by RISE PFI and is in collaboration with NTNU, Nofima, NORSUS, Borregaard, Elopak, Moltzau Packaging AS, Nordic Paper, Norilia, BAMA Nordic AB, Nortura, TINE SA and Norfersk.
The project focuses on developing bio-based barriers that can be used in food packaging to replace plastic. The new products should be fully biobased, recyclable, biodegradable and food safe without compromising food quality and shelf-life.
We are looking forward to developing the next generation of biobased food packaging!
