RISE PFI participated at the Biobased Coatings Europe 2023 conference.
Last week Sandra Rodriguez Fabia from RISE PFI talked about “Biobased packaging – The role of lignocellulose” at the Biobased Coatings Europe 2023 conference, which took place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands 6-7 June. During the talk, she presented some of the work done at RISE PFI regarding water barriers as well as some of the ongoing projects related to biobased packaging.
The participants were updated on biobased and sustainable resins, additives and solvents. There were many interesting discussions about the difference between the terms biobased and sustainable, as well as how to promote the use of biobased/sustainable products and the challenges the producers face to market these products.
