Development of a new products and new and cost effective biorefinery processes for combined production of chemical pulp and hemicellulose
The aim of this project is to develop new products and new cost-effective biorefinery processes for combined production of chemical pulp and hemicelluloses, resulting in considerably lower chemical costs, reduced pulping time and increased production capacity.
The key elements in the innovation are high pressure/temperature mechanical pretreatment of wood chips combined with hemicellulose extraction prior to chemical pulping/digestion.
