Nanosized cellulose fibrils as stabilizers of emulsions
The aim of this project is to evaluate, facilitate and tailor the use of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) in emulsions of practical interest through an understanding of the functionality of microfibrillated cellulose as a stabilizer of emulsions.Emphasis will be laid on both emulsions of water-in-oil and oil-in-water applications.
R&D partners:
The project is partly funded by the Research Council of Norway, and is a cooperation between partners from industry, institutes and universities. Paper and Fibre Research Institute (PFI), Norwegian University of Science and Technology, SINTEF Materials and Chemistry.
